Ferran Torres emerges as doubt for Barcelona's clash with Girona
"Ferran Torres appears to be a doubt for Saturday's La Liga clash with Girona as he's still feeling some discomfort in his hamstring. The forward returned early from Spain duty after being ruled out of La Roja's World Cup qualifier Bulgaria. He underwent tests which diagnosed an overload, rather than an injury, and has been training with his club side this week."
"However, Ferran has informed Hansi Flick that he's still feeling some discomfort and the club aren't willing to take any risks with his fitness, according to Sport. Barca will take a check on Torres again on Friday but it could be that he does not feature at the weekend and joins the lengthy injury list at the club currently."
Ferran Torres returned early from Spain duty after being ruled out of Spain’s World Cup qualifier with Bulgaria and has been diagnosed with a hamstring overload rather than a discrete injury. He has been training with the club this week but continues to feel some discomfort and has informed Hansi Flick of the issue. Barcelona are unwilling to take risks with his fitness and will re-evaluate Torres on Friday. He could miss the weekend clash with Girona and add to the club’s current injury list. Marcus Rashford and Roony Bardghji are available, while Fermin Lopez and Lamine Yamal have returned to first-team training.
