Fermín López completed the formal signing of a contract extension with Barcelona that runs until June 2031 at the club offices. Club president Joan Laporta and vice-president Rafa Yuste attended, and several family members accompanied López. López described the agreement as a dream come true after arriving at La Masia as a very young boy and said he hopes to stay many years and win titles with Barcelona. The current campaign has produced ten goals and 11 assists across all competitions. López acknowledged room for improvement and praised manager Hansi Flick's importance to his development.
