Real Madrid defender Dani Carvajal addressed his confrontation with Barcelona teenager Lamine Yamal after October's Clásico and described the incident as minor. Yamal provoked Real Madrid with comments before kick-off that led to Carvajal confronting him after the final whistle. Carvajal characterized Yamal as young and not entirely on point in the lead-up to the match, said everyone defends their club interests, and called Yamal a great guy. Carvajal added that he does not wish Yamal well for the upcoming match but will not make a big deal of the spat. Yamal is expected to start in the Super Cup final after being on the bench in the semi-final.
