Bayern Munich News: Leon Goretzka not headed to FC Barcelona; Timo Werner to MLS; Liverpool, Real Madrid vying for ex-FC Bayern star; and MORE!
"❌ It is NOT TRUE: Barcelona are interested in bringing Leon Goretzka to La Liga. Sometimes, it's easy - one plus one equals two; but in this case, it equals three! Yes, Hansi Flick knows the player from his Bayern days. They won the Champions League together. Goretzka's going to be a free agent, so it would be possible to bring him to Barcelona. And we know that money still remains a big problem at Barcelona!"
""It's always a big decision to go to America, but everything is there to be successful," Werner said in a statement. "The stadium and the facilities are beautiful. Also, it really impressed me that an experienced manager like Bruce [Arena], who has had so much success in the league, flew over here to Germany to talk to me about the plan."
Barcelona is not interested in signing Leon Goretzka and he is not considered a fit for Barcelona's playing style due to a surplus of offensive players and financial constraints. Goretzka will leave Bayern Munich in the summer after the club indicated it will not extend his contract. Goretzka did not contact Hansi Flick to request a transfer. Tottenham and several Italian clubs, including Juventus and AC Milan, remain interested in signing him. Timo Werner has moved from RB Leipzig to the San Jose Earthquakes in MLS and praised the facilities, manager Bruce Arena, and his commitment to give everything on the pitch.
