"Barcelona will experience a rare and symbolic moment in the upcoming Catalan derby, as they are set to wear their traditional blue and garnet colours at the RCDE Stadium for the first time in a decade. According to a report from Sergi Sole in Mundo Deportivo, La Liga have given Barcelona the green light to play in their classic Blaugrana colours at Cornella-El Prat."
"This will mark the first time since January 13, 2016, that Barcelona wear their iconic blue and garnet stripes at Espanyol's current stadium. That last occasion came during the second leg of the Copa del Rey Round of 16, a match Barcelona won 2-0 while wearing a blue and garnet striped shirt with red shorts. Interestingly, they had worn the same kit just 11 days earlier in a league clash at the same venue, a game that ended goalless."
La Liga have permitted Barcelona to wear their traditional blue-and-garnet Blaugrana kit at Espanyol's RCDE Stadium, marking the club's first appearance in those colours at that venue since 13 January 2016. Barcelona have worn their first-choice kit at the stadium on just four of 16 visits, with early appearances producing a 0-0 draw in 2009/10 and a 5-1 win in 2010/11. Fans attending the RCDE Stadium will not be allowed to wear Barcelona or blue-and-garnet insignia under Espanyol's regulations. Barcelona have frequently used alternative kits at Cornella-El Prat, including yellow, the Catalan senyera, black, orange, maroon and mango.
