Barcelona star Ronald Araujo reveals the best advice he's been given in his career

"Ronald Araujo has made no secret of the fact he used to play in attack in his younger days, particularly after scoring a late winner against Girona recently. The Uruguay international has occasionally been used as an emergency attacking option during his time at Barcelona but has seemingly revealed why he didn't continue in the position. During a Q&A session with the club's media, he was asked about the best piece of advice he has received in his career and offered up the following response."

""One of my coaches told me: 'If you play in attack, you'll be an ordinary player. If you become a centre back, you'll be world class," he said. Araujo has made it clear he's happy to play anywhere for Hansi Flick's side and is said to be eager for more minutes after starting Barca's last three games on the bench."

Ronald Araujo played as an attacker in his youth and recently scored a late winner against Girona. A coach told him that remaining in attack would make him ordinary but becoming a centre back could make him world-class. Araujo has occasionally been deployed as an emergency attacking option for Barcelona but accepted the positional change.
