Barcelona’s plans for Marcus Rashford have become less certain after the club’s push to sign Anthony Gordon. Rashford had been viewed as deserving another season in Catalonia due to productive performances under Hansi Flick, positive relationships with teammates, and key attacking contributions. Barcelona already holds a €30 million purchase option for Rashford after his loan from Manchester United, but the option expires on June 15, limiting how long the decision can be postponed. While Rashford remains cautiously optimistic and has not received a definitive message, some senior sporting figures believe Gordon’s arrival would make a permanent deal for Rashford significantly more difficult. Barcelona must notify Manchester United by June 15 whether it will activate the clause, and Manchester United is not willing to renegotiate terms.
