"It was a misunderstanding that was taken a little out of context."
"I was ready to play on the wing out there, but I should have been with the physical trainers, training very hard to be ready for the game against Celta."
"They hadn't told me, so I was there, ready to play, and the press was there. It may seem strange, but it was a misunderstanding."
Andreas Christensen returned to Barcelona action after nearly a month on the sidelines, appearing in the closing minutes against Celta Vigo. He briefly left one of the final training sessions before the trip after being in the wrong place due to an organisational slip-up. Christensen clarified that he was never injured and described the incident as a misunderstanding taken out of context. He had been ready for tactical work and believed he might play, but should have been with the physical trainers preparing for the match. Christensen's contract runs until 2026 and he is in Denmark's squad for World Cup qualifiers.
