FC Barcelona returned to the Spotify Camp Nou on 22 November and welcomed just over 45,000 fans under Phase 1A and 1B permits. The team recorded a 3-1 win over Deportivo Alaves and will host Atletico Madrid next. President Joan Laporta expects a Phase 1C permit by the end of December to open the North Stand and the Grada 1957 supporters' section, raising capacity toward 60,000. The expansion would not be operational until 25 January, when the club and contractor Limak estimate about 62,000 spectators can be accommodated. Laporta urged unity among members as Barcelona sits atop La Liga.
