Danielle Sijmons and her partner, Daniel, relocated from Amsterdam to Haarlem, drawn by the city's charm and affordability. They discovered a quaint 1890 corner house, previously a fish shop, now reflecting their vibrant lifestyle with a roof terrace and close proximity to the beach. In decorating their home, Danielle emphasizes the importance of color and community, expressing her love for life's small beauties, ultimately creating a lively and inviting space that connects to their past and appreciating their new surroundings.
"We lived in Amsterdam for many years and really love that city, but it became too busy and too expensive. So we started looking further, also outside the city. That's how we ended up here in Haarlem."
"It is small and cozy, but with the heart of a true city," Danielle continues. "We did see the charm of Haarlem."
"When hunting for a home in Haarlem in the spring of 2023, Danielle and her partner, Daniel, fell in love with this very charming, white corner house from 1890."
"I look for the pearls in life and see beauty in the little things. I try to bring all of this together in our home."
