The Q36.5 Pro Cycling team has secured a wildcard entry into the upcoming Vuelta a España, prompting controversy after the race organizers, Unipublic, chose not to invite Spanish teams Kern Pharma and Euskaltel-Euskadi. The decision aims to create a more international competition, as highlighted by Race Director Javier Guillén. While Kern Pharma expressed deep disappointment on social media for missing the invitation despite past successes, Q36.5, alongside Burgos Burpellet BH and Caja Rural, will represent in a field that includes established WorldTour teams starting in August 2025 in Turin, Italy.
