The Startup Global National Virtual Pitch Competition, co-presented by UPS and Export Development Canada (EDC), awarded $8,500 to Vision 3X after first-round heats on May 26 and Top 10 pitches on May 28. Uzma Ahmed Din of Vision 3X won and will pitch on stage at the Startup Global Pitch Competition Grand Finale in Mississauga on October 29 for a $30,000 grand prize. Vision 3X provides real-time 3D vision using patent-protected technology that enables autonomous platforms’ spatial understanding without sensors costing tens of thousands of dollars. A People’s Choice Award was voted by viewers and went to Ameneh Madjd of D2Type Health Inc. D2Type Health uses real-time, personalized between-visit care to prevent and manage Type 2 Diabetes and improve cardiometabolic health.
