Nokia deploys network APIs from Proximus Global to developers
Briefly

Nokia and Proximus Global have partnered to enhance the accessibility of network APIs, aiming to empower developers in creating enterprise applications. This collaboration will allow Proximus Global's APIs to be integrated into Nokia's Network as Code platform, which facilitates interaction with various telecom services and solutions. The partnership also provides Proximus Global with better distribution channels for its APIs, helping expand international visibility. By leveraging advanced technologies like 5G, they hope to inspire innovative uses for their APIs and contribute to the evolving telecom landscape.
Through the partnership, Nokia can add the APIs of Proximus Global via the Network as Code platform. Since its launch in 2023, that developer platform has become a gathering place for APIs of telcos, which also includes solutions from hyperscalers such as Google Cloud, as well as CPaaS solutions.
Proximus Global suggests two scenarios in which the potential of 5G technology can be exploited. Location data, for example, can be used to thwart suspicious transactions. During festivals, in turn, it can be deployed conveniently for network slicing.
