Berlin-based startup Noxtua, previously known as Xayn, has rebranded to better reflect its focus on legal AI for professionals. With €80.7 million in new funding led by C.H.Beck, Noxtua aims to refine its AI models, particularly Beck-Noxtua, using a rich database of over 55 million legal documents. Its CEO, Dr. Leif-Nissen Lundbæk, emphasizes the AI's distinct capability in navigating nuanced legal definitions, aiming for a highly specialized tool that supports legal research and document management in multiple languages.
"Noxtua has a deep understanding of the nuanced differences between various legal definitions," said Lundbæk. Law professionals use the tool to conduct legal research as well as analyse, review, summarise, translate, and draft legal documents.
"The geopolitical situation has become highly volatile, with historical certainties being questioned," said Lundbæk. "During these times, independence, sovereignty, and autonomy become ever more important."
