Rome-based WSENSE, specializing in underwater monitoring and wireless communication, has raised €7.2M in pre-Series B funding backed by FINCANTIERI and existing investors. This funding will enable WSENSE to accelerate its global expansion of underwater wireless communication technology. The announcement follows the company’s earlier success in 2023, where they raised €11M in Series A funding. Established in 2012 as a spinoff from Sapienza University, WSENSE creates tailored solutions for underwater technology that enhance monitoring and communication for environmental sustainability and industrial optimization.
