Eindhoven-based eyeo, a company specializing in nanophotonic color-splitting technology, successfully secured â¬15M in seed funding, co-led by imec.xpand and Invest-NL. The funding aims to develop an evaluation kit, enhance manufacturing capabilities, and foster industry collaborations to introduce their innovative camera sensors into the market. By employing advanced techniques that surpass traditional color filter limitations, eyeo's technology promises improved light sensitivity and color accuracy, paving the way for applications in smartphones, VR glasses, and compact imaging devices. The first evaluation kits are anticipated within two years for selected clients.
