ASML to build large new campus in Eindhoven

"ASML wants to break ground in March, with the first 5,000 employees moving into the new campus in early 2028. The decision allows the environmental plan to be amended and roads in the area to be relocated or modified. The municipality will be authorized to acquire land on the campus through the courts."

Eindhoven's city council granted final approval for ASML's major expansion at the Brainport Industries Campus, with the zoning plan amended to accommodate the project. ASML plans to relocate from Veldhoven and establish a new campus housing 20,000 employees, doubling the current regional workforce. Groundbreaking is scheduled for March 2026, with the first 5,000 employees occupying the campus by early 2028. The municipality acquired land in January 2025 to maintain development control. Six of nine landowners accepted the acquisition offer, while the remaining three will be compelled through court proceedings. The expansion includes new cleanrooms, offices, and infrastructure modifications, with suppliers expected to generate tens of thousands of additional jobs.
