Briefly

A Ukrainian firm has partnered with a UK contractor to introduce its drone technology, emphasizing the need for battlefield-tested equipment. Ukraine is a focal point for innovative drone development as Western militaries recognize the necessity for relevant technology. The collaboration aims to integrate Ukrainian insights into UK military production, notably as the UK seeks to replace its Watchkeeper drone program with more effective surveillance options.
"If your system is not in day-to-day use on the frontline of Ukraine, it becomes very quickly out of date," Justin Hedges, a former Royal Marine, stated.
A recent data and drone tech-sharing agreement made between Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and the UK's Prime Minister Keir Starmer aims for Ukrainian insights to be "plugged into UK production lines."
UK armed forces minister Luke Pollard emphasized, "If you are a drone company and you do not have your kit on the frontline in Ukraine, you might as well give up."
Skyeton’s drone Raybird, designed for surveillance and targeting, is being developed to replace the UK's troubled Watchkeeper drone program.
