"Magyar confirmed plans to suspend its news operations as one of the first tasks of the new government, aiming to ensure unbiased coverage after years of pro-government propaganda."
Peter Magyar is working to establish a new Hungarian government by mid-May following discussions with President Tamas Sulyok. The new parliament will be formed after May 4, when election results are certified. Magyar plans to engage with the European Commission to access frozen funds and has suggested that Sulyok should resign to facilitate institutional reforms. He also intends to suspend state broadcaster operations to eliminate pro-government propaganda and ensure unbiased media coverage moving forward.
