Scores of people gathered at Dublin Airport to welcome home around a dozen Irish citizens detained by Israel after Israel intercepted an aid flotilla to Gaza. Friends, family, and pro-Palestinian activists waited in terminal one for the group to arrive on a flight from Istanbul. The activists had been deported to Istanbul following their detention in Israel. Supporters waved Palestinian flags and sang “free, free Palestine” while calling on the Government to sanction Israel. The flight was scheduled to land around 1pm.
