Non-binary Eurovision winner Nemo condemns Pride flag ban
Briefly

Nemo, the non-binary Eurovision winner, has expressed concern over the European Broadcasting Union's (EBU) new rule banning Pride flags at the Eurovision Song Contest. This regulation prohibits any flags except for the contestants' national flags in official events. Nemo, who had previously struggled to bring a non-binary flag to the previous year's contest, feels that the EBU is failing its LGBTQ+ audience by denying their right to celebrate. They highlighted the contradiction of being celebrated with the flag post-victory, despite being barred from displaying it during the event.
At this point, I'm very confused. Last year... I was preparing my non-binary flag and I was like, 'OK, I'm going to go with the Swiss flag and the non-binary flag' and then someone was like, 'Oh sorry, you can't take that in, it's forbidden on stage.'
It's clear that the EBU is not taking its responsibility towards the LGBTQ+ community seriously by enforcing these rules and suppressing our ability to celebrate Pride.
