Following military strikes by the US and Israel against Iran, Irish Foreign Affairs Minister Helen McEntee issued a shelter-in-place directive to Irish citizens in the Middle East. McEntee stated she has no reports of Irish citizens being injured during the military operations. However, she acknowledged that approximately 20,000 Irish citizens may be dispersed across countries throughout the region. The directive comes as missiles continue to be exchanged across the region, prompting heightened safety concerns for Irish nationals abroad.
