The project promises to generate 824 megawatts of renewable energy—enough for 770,000 homes—and create over 800 jobs, yet it faces scrutiny regarding its ecological and historical implications. A decision is anticipated by September.
"The project will play a key role in helping Ireland meet its climate action and energy security targets," the developers added.
