Historic condom exhibit at Rijksmuseum sparks protest
Briefly

The Rijksmuseum in Amsterdam has stirred controversy by displaying a condom from 1830 featuring an erotic etching, which Christian groups have described as a sacrilege against Catholics. This historical artifact is part of an exhibition on 19th-century prostitution and has prompted protests from groups like Stichting Civitas Christiana, who argue it disrespects the Catholic Church. Curators, however, argue that the object is meant to provoke thought and humor about religious themes, noting the long history of mocking religion.
Mocking religion is as old as religion itself. I don't think this is a response to the French Revolution and the Catholic church. It's meant to be funny.
A grotesque insult to God, the Catholic Church and the entire Dutch nation.
