AquaPraça is a 400-square-meter floating platform that rises and falls with tides, designed to remain permanently moored on Guajará Bay in the Amazon. The structure uses Archimedes' principle to adapt to tidal shifts up to four meters daily, allowing visitors to experience the river's natural rhythm at eye level. Designed by CRA-Carlo Ratti Associati and Höweler + Yoon, the platform contrasts historic architectural references by promoting building with nature. Unveiled in Venice then shown at COP30 in Belém, Italy will donate the platform to Brazil to serve as a community space for climate and cultural conversations.
