A building collapse in Glasgow fell onto a car and caused city-centre road closures. Power cuts were reported in the Highlands and some islands. Numerous road closures and bridge restrictions were implemented, including the Forth Road Bridge closed both ways and several bridges closed to high-sided vehicles.
