"The NWS San Francisco CA said, Southeast winds 25 to 35 mph with gusts up to 55 mph expected. Gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result, according to the NWS. Winds this strong can make driving difficult, especially for high profile vehicles. Use extra caution. Secure loose outdoor objects that could be blown around or damaged by the wind."
"The NWS employs three alert levels to convey the severity of high winds: High wind warning: Take action! Sustained, strong winds with even stronger gusts are happening. Seek shelter. If you are driving, keep both hands on the wheel and slow down. Wind advisory: Take action! Strong winds are occurring but are not so strong as to warrant a High wind warning. Objects that are outdoors should be secured and caution should be taken if driving."

Driving may be difficult, especially for high-profile vehicles. Residents should secure outdoor objects, trim branches, and secure gutters and shutters. The advisory affects numerous Bay Area and Monterey/San Benito locations. NWS defines three alert levels—High wind warning, Wind advisory, High wind watch—with specific recommended actions.
