"By giving young people a creative platform to share their priorities, they're helping cultivate the next generation of environmental change-makers,"
"When children explore nature, their curiosity blooms, helping them grow into adults who care for these places,"
Silicon Valley Youth Climate Action launched a youth climate video contest for Santa Clara County students ages 12–18 to create 2–5 minute videos about Coyote Valley, farming and food systems, nature-based climate solutions, and personal connections to nature. The contest is sponsored by the Santa Clara Valley Open Space Authority and offers cash prizes of $100–$500. Entries will be reviewed by a panel of local leaders and climate professionals, winners announced April 22, and winning films screened in mid-May. Submissions close March 31 at https://svycanbs-contest.com. The Open Space Authority also released a 19-page multilingual "I Love Nature" activity book for children ages 3+ available as a free download.
