Met Office issues weather warnings for 'heavy rain' - London Business News | Londonlovesbusiness.com
"There is a small chance that homes and businesses could be flooded which will cause damage to buildings. Should there be any flooding there is a small chance there could be delays or cancellations to trains and buses. Spray and flooding could lead to difficult driving conditions and some road closures amid the "heavy rains and there is a slight chance of power cuts and loss of other services to some homes and businesses."
"Rain, heavy at times, is expected to develop across southwest England on Friday night and spread north-eastward during Saturday before clearing into the North Sea on Saturday night. There is uncertainty in the corridor of heaviest rainfall across England and Wales, but there is potential for 20-30 mm to fall fairly widely with 50 mm possible in places. Over high ground, there is a low chance of 60-80 mm falling."
New Saturday weather warnings cover heavy rain and strong winds across many UK areas. Homes and businesses face a small chance of flooding and potential building damage. Flooding could cause train and bus delays or cancellations, difficult driving conditions, spray-related hazards, road closures, and a slight chance of power cuts and loss of services. Some communities could become cut off by flooded roads. A band of heavy rain will move slowly across central-southern and southeast England into Tuesday morning, with 20-30 mm likely fairly widely, 50-60 mm possible in places, and a low chance of 60-80 mm on high ground.
