Met Eireann issues wind warnings for three counties, forecasts 'above average' rainfall
"Forecasters said people can expect difficult travelling conditions and for debris and loose objects to be displaced. They also reported the rest of the week to be characterised by "changeable" temperatures as conditions are forecast to get wetter over the next seven days. Met Éireann's extended-range forecast for next week predicts "above average" rain and temperatures, with the exception of chillier nights."
"Over the afternoon, rain will accumulate in the west and spread eastwards towards the evening with highest temperatures of 5C to 9C expected. In the night, it is forecast to be quite clear nationwide with the exception of some showers in the northwest. It will be a cold night with temperatures reaching between 1C to 6C. Temperatures tomorrow will be rather mild, average between 8C and 12C as Met Éireann forecasts a "wet and blustery" day."
A Status Yellow warning applies Friday from 11am to 5pm for Waterford and Wexford, marking the second such warning this week. Difficult travelling conditions are expected with debris and loose objects likely to be displaced. Temperatures will be changeable and conditions are forecast to get wetter over the next seven days. Extended-range outlook predicts above-average rain and temperatures next week, though nights may feel chillier. A low pressure system increases the potential for further rain warnings on some counties. Today starts dry and bright for most, with showers and heavier rain spreading later and overnight lows of 1C to 6C.
