Three Hillbrook School students — Ahren Kapadia, Madeleine Zehner and Vikram Devaru — won the NSDA Speaking and Service Award for 2024-25. They were chosen from more than 100,000 NSDA members after earning the Honor Society's maximum annual 200 service points. The Honor Society awards service points and distinctions for competitions, community service, leadership activities and public speaking. Bay Area Older Adults (BAOA) will host a Coyote Creek Volunteer Cleanup at Hellyer County Park on Nov. 7 and a three-mile Ravenswood Preserve walk on Nov. 19. Both events provide transportation and lunch and require registration.
