"The coldest night is going to be Thursday night into early Friday morning,"
"It's definitely cold enough for flakes to fly, but ground temps should be above freezing, so very limited to no accumulation is likely in Florida. GA, AL and the Carolinas are a different story,"
"Snow ❄️ in Florida Sunday? It's very possible! Both the European and American models show snow into Northern #florida. Will it happen? Too early to know. I'd caution everyone that the models have been very inconsistent. It's definitely cold enough for flakes... pic.twitter.com/eTNUaVU6EH"
A strong cold front will cross the peninsula Thursday, producing morning rain and much colder temperatures Thursday night into Friday. Lows could reach 32 around Lake Okeechobee, with progressively warmer readings nearer the coast and upper 30s to mid-40s in western suburbs. Miami and Broward metro lows are forecast at about 44–45, and Palm Beach County around 42–43. Gusty winds will accompany the cold air, producing wind-chill values as low as the mid-20s near Lake Okeechobee and low-to-mid 30s elsewhere. Some models show a low chance of snow flurries in far northwest Florida; accumulation is unlikely in Florida. Friday and the weekend are expected to be sunny, dry, and gradually warmer into the high 60s and low 70s.
