"High tide varies up to 90 minutes earlier or later along the Pacific Coast and through the San Francisco Bay, respectively. Numerous roads will be closed. Low-lying property including homes, businesses, and some critical infrastructure will likely be inundated. Some shoreline erosion will occur, the NWS said. Take the necessary actions to protect flood-prone property. If travel is required, do not drive around barricades or through water of unknown depth."
San Francisco Bay shoreline, North Bay interior valleys, and San Francisco County are under a coastal flood warning from Friday 7 a.m. until Saturday Jan. 3 at 2 p.m. Significant coastal flooding with up to 2.5 feet of inundation above ground level is possible in low-lying areas near shorelines and tidal waterways during morning high tides. The San Francisco tidal gauge forecasts high tides of 2.2 ft above normal Friday, 2.5 ft Saturday, and 1.9 ft Sunday, including up to 1.3 ft of storm surge. High tides may vary up to 90 minutes by location. Numerous roads will close and low-lying homes, businesses, and some critical infrastructure may be inundated.
