"The event opened on 6 February 2026 and is organised under a dual-city hosting model, with competitions distributed across four main zones and eight venues located at significant distances from each other (including some competitions happening in Trentino region - Tesero and Predazzo -, where the buses are deployed). Passenger transport operations are required to cover long intercity connections as well as local services in dense urban and alpine environments."
"The fleet supplied for local operator Trentino Trasporti in the occasion of the Milano Cortina event consists of Yutong U12, E12 and E7S battery-electric buses. According to the manufacturer, 20 U12 and 8 E12 buses have already been delivered and deployed, with a further 40 E7S units scheduled to enter service progressively based on operational needs. The larger U12 and E12 models are assigned to higher-capacity services and longer-distance links between competition areas."
Sixty-eight Yutong battery-electric buses were supplied to Trentino Trasporti to support transport operations for Milano Cortina 2026, including U12, E12 and E7S models. Twenty U12 and eight E12 buses have been delivered and deployed, while forty E7S units are scheduled to enter service progressively according to operational needs. The larger U12 and E12 vehicles serve higher-capacity routes and longer-distance links between competition areas. The compact E7S buses are for historic city centres and constrained urban streets, enabling local circulation and last-mile connectivity. All vehicles are specified for winter conditions and will remain in local public service after the event.
