Surrey sign spinner Chahar for Championship run-in
"I'm so excited to be coming back to Surrey this season. I really enjoyed my short spell in 2025 and jumped at the opportunity to come back this season when I spoke to Alec Stewart (director of men's cricket)."
"Surrey is a successful club and I want to help the team achieve its goals in 2026."
Rahul Chahar has been signed by Surrey for the last eight games of the County Championship season. He previously played for Surrey, taking 10 wickets in one match. Chahar achieved his best figures of 8-51 against Hampshire. He has played for India in white-ball cricket and was part of the Mumbai Indians' IPL-winning teams in 2019 and 2020. Chahar expressed excitement about returning to Surrey and aims to contribute to the team's success.
