'I'm a man that does whatever I want' YouTube streamer, boxer and musician KSI buys English football club
"Playing a video game and owning a football club is very different, I know that. But with 'Race to Division One', it was a journey. It was hard, but in the end I did it. I'm so excited to start this journey. It's gonna be a rollercoaster for sure but I hope to bring Dagenham and Redbridge back to the glory days."
"With this club, I want to do the unthinkable - I want to take Dagenham and Redbridge to the Premier League."
KSI, the online personality and content creator born Olajide Olatunji, has announced his purchase of Dagenham and Redbridge, a non-league English football club. Drawing parallels to his early 'Race to Division One' FIFA video game series, KSI aims to take the club to the Premier League. The Londoner built his fortune through gaming content creation, boxing, music, and entrepreneurial ventures including the PRIME energy drink brand. Dagenham and Redbridge currently compete in the National League South and have recently received investment from former England striker Andy Carroll. KSI describes the football club ownership as a full-circle moment in his career.
