Final tickets on sale despite Spygate uncertainty
Tickets for the Championship play-off final have gone on sale even though the match between Hull City and Southampton may be delayed. Southampton faces an Independent Disciplinary Committee hearing over Spygate, after the club was charged by the EFL for observing a Middlesbrough training session within the 72-hour period before the semi-final first leg. The hearing is scheduled to take place on or before Tuesday, 19 May, with any appeal also affecting timing. The EFL says the final could be delayed depending on the outcome and any appeal. Hull and Southampton have both received 35,984 tickets for Wembley, currently set for 16:30 BST on Saturday, 23 May. Possible penalties for Southampton include a fine, points deduction, or expulsion from the play-offs.
