Tuberculosis cases force postponement of Riordan basketball games
"A small tuberculosis outbreak at Archbishop Riordan High School canceled two West Catholic Athletic League basketball games on Thursday, the Bay Area News Group has confirmed. Both Riordan boys and girls basketball teams had games scheduled against Sacred Heart Cathedral on Thursday night, but after concerns raised from SHC regarding the cases of Tuberculosis, both schools mutually decided to postpone Thursday's matchups for another date."
"Along with Thursday's postponement, the girls team will not play Saturday's matchup against highly-touted San Ramon Valley, coach Will Watkins told this news organization on Thursday. It was mutually agreed on from all schools involved to not play Thursday and Saturday's game for the health and safety of our students, Watkins said. Our administration has done a great job communicating with us and keeping us informed."
