"You have to visit at least one," White tells TODAY.com. "It's not a safety if you wouldn't actually go there."
"We want students to think, 'This is my safety, and if I ended up going there, I would love it.'"
"I don't care if you spend a weekend, a night, or drive three hours for a day visit. Whatever you can do, do it," she said in the clip. "It's going to make life a lot easier for you."
"I even had one kid visit his safety and decide that's where he wanted to be. He was like, 'I'm done,'" she recalls. "And this was a high-performing student, too."
