See photos of Kerry secondary's awards night recognising outstanding students
Tarbert Comprehensive School held its annual Awards Ceremony on May 14 to recognise outstanding student achievements. Students received recognition in more than 30 award categories covering academic, sporting, cultural, and creative activities. The event was opened by deputy principal Leila Moloney and presented by teachers PJ Curtin and Helen Lane. Special guests included former Kerry footballer and road collision survivor Seán O’Leary and former Tarbert student and academic Kieran Dalton. Students of the year were Maeve Ahern and Darragh Walsh, and sportspersons of the year were Zoie Kelly and James Kissane. Medals were presented to U19 Moynihan Cup and Munster Final-winning Junior Girls’ football teams. Awards for STEM excellence were presented by Barry O’Sullivan from Kirby Engineering. The guests delivered inspiring speeches about kindness, legacy, and the lasting impact of people’s actions.
