Niche.com is a college-rankings site. Niche rankings are based on an analysis of key data points and reviews from students and parents. Factors such as SAT and ACT scores, the quality of colleges students pursue, student-teacher ratios and private school ratings are considered. Data is sourced from the U.S. Department of Education, Niche users and the schools themselves."
Santa Clara County Library District and local partners, including San Jose Public Library, are bringing Dolly Parton's Imagination Library to county children. The program mails free, high-quality, age-appropriate books each month to children under age five in English or Spanish until their fifth birthday. Families can register at sccld.org/imaginationlibrary; books typically arrive about eight to 12 weeks after registration. The effort focuses on building home libraries, encouraging reading from birth, and introducing families to public library resources. Additionally, BASIS Independent Silicon Valley ranked No. 3 nationally for STEM in Niche's 2026 Best Schools Rankings.
