St Mark's Church of England Academy in Mitcham, part of Anthem Schools Trust, has achieved remarkable success in A-levels, being ranked the fourth highest school in England for student progress according to the Progress Score category. This score of 0.88 indicates students improved significantly from GCSEs, achieving an average of nearly one grade higher in each subject than peers with similar GCSE grades. The academy was also recognized as 'outstanding' by Ofsted, underscoring its commitment to student development and support.
A score above zero means students made more progress, on average, than students across England who got similar GCSEs, while a score below zero means students made less progress.
This rating is the latest feather in the cap of the Mitcham academy which last year was rated as "outstanding" in all categories by Ofsted.
