MassDOT launches 4th annual 'Name a Snowplow' contest
"Students will have the opportunity to name 12 MassDOT snowplows that will be in service this winter, city officials said. Applications for the contest can be submitted via an online portal. There is no limit to the number of applications that can be submitted per school, officials said. After the selections are announced Dec. 19, winners will be invited to participate in a snowplow unveiling event."
"The winners will be selected by a panel of MassDOT employees, who will choose two student submissions from each of the six Highway Division districts, according to city officials. One submission in each district will be chosen from kids in kindergarten through fourth grade, and the other will be chosen from kids in fifth grade through eighth grade.
