Emerald High School in Dublin has completed its second classroom tower, marking the progress of the newly built school, which will enroll approximately 1,500 students this fall. The facility, costing $374 million, aims to accommodate nearly 2,500 students. The campus has expanded to feature 39 new classrooms, with programs in construction and culinary arts. Superintendent Chris Funk compared the environment to a college campus, highlighting its attractive amenities. A third construction phase is projected to open in April 2027, further enhancing the school's offerings.
District Superintendent Chris Funk noted that Emerald High School resembles a college campus due to its impressive student union and gymnasium, creating an environment suitable for higher education.
Emerald High School has a capacity for nearly 2,500 students and is expected to reach that capacity within the next two school years, following its inaugural opening to 900 freshmen and sophomores.
The new education tower adds 39 classrooms across three floors, featuring resources for construction, engineering, and culinary arts, equipped with special garage doors to connect indoor and outdoor learning.
The completion of the second classroom tower marks two-thirds of the new school project, with the upcoming academic year welcoming 1,500 students as it prepares for its first senior class.
