Bernadette Farrell became the All Ireland Senior Irish Dancing Champion in 1963 and founded The Chaney Farrell Academy Of Irish Dance in 1964. The Academy has significantly contributed to the global popularity of Irish dancing, training many champions and participating in events like the 1994 Eurovision debut of Riverdance.
