New Day School is a migrant learning centre serving Burmese migrant and refugee communities in Mae Sot, a Thai border town. After the military coup on 1 February 2021, the number of Burmese refugees and migrants crossing into Thailand increased dramatically. Help without Frontiers Thailand is a community-based organisation that supports learning centres by funding teacher salaries, lunches, and school uniforms. Limited funding often leaves new classroom buildings, sanitation facilities, and broader infrastructure without adequate support. The project involves local workers and students from Harrow International School in Bangkok and King Mongkut’s Institute of Technology Ladkrabang (KMITL).
