Brodrick Spencer: Building Systems That Serve People
""Success is defined by accomplishing the goals you have set," Spencer says. "The measuring rod is not what you have done for yourself but those that you serve.""
""I started working with youth as a mentor throughout high school and college," he recalls."
Brodrick Spencer has nearly thirty years of experience improving complex education systems across classrooms, schools, districts, nonprofits, and communities. He focuses on building sustainable systems that continue serving others after leaders depart. Born in Jackson, Mississippi and raised in Long Beach by a single mother, Clara Spencer, he developed discipline, responsibility, and service, excelled academically and athletically, and held early leadership roles. He mentored youth in high school and college, played collegiate baseball and football, earned a BA in Law and Society and a Master's in Education, taught social studies for eight years, coached athletics, and served as department chair.
