The multi-use games area (MUGA) was launched on June 25 at Meridian High School in Croydon, providing a new sports facility for students and the local community. Headteacher Amy Anderson and the Wade family expressed gratitude for the support received in making the facility a reality, which includes benefits for various sports and activities. The pitch features floodlighting for year-round use, with students already showcasing its versatility through football and cricket sessions, ensuring it serves as a valuable resource for many years to come.
It's brilliant to see the wonderful new pitch now officially opened, and we're very grateful indeed for all the kind and generous support we've had to make this dream become a reality.
This is a fantastic example of how the school and the community can both benefit from a brand-new sports facility.
The fact that this excellent new sports pitch will be enjoyed by so many young people is fantastic.
