Brentwood students among top performers worldwide after 'maximum scores'

Brentwood School students achieved an average score of 37.3 points in the International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma, exceeding the global average by over four points. Twenty-eight percent of the class of 2025 scored 40 points or higher, while two students attained the maximum score of 45, a rarity achieved by only 0.3 percent of students worldwide. School officials highlight the value of the IB program for character development and academic success, praising students like Achinta and Sofia for their exceptional achievements and promising futures ahead.
The school's average of 37.3 points is more than four above the worldwide average and likely maintains the school's position as one of the top 10 IB schools in the UK.
Twenty-eight per cent of the class of 2025 scored 40 points or more, compared to the global average of around 11 per cent.
Achinta, who will study economics, finance, and data science at Imperial College, said: "This is the perfect end to the most amazing 15 years. My parents couldn't be happier."
Sofia, who has secured a place at the London School of Economics for a law degree, said: "I am absolutely shocked and surprised, but so happy."
