
Ballyroebuck National School boys competed in the FAI five-a-side soccer competition in the Boys' A Cup for smaller schools. They won the county section after tough, close matches. They advanced to the South Leinster finals representing County Wexford, defeating teams from Carlow and Wicklow to reach the Leinster final in Navan, County Meath. At the Leinster finals, they performed strongly, finishing second overall and as runners-up for the entire province. Teachers and parents expressed pride in the boys’ achievements.
"The boys from Ballyroebuck National School recently participated in the FAI five-a-side soccer competition. They were participating in the Boys' 'A' Cup, for smaller schools. Firstly, they managed to win the county section of the competition, after some very tough and close matches."
